Canary Islands

The Three-Island Shortbike Trail

Final evening: A taste of the ‘real’ Canary Islands

A simple pleasure

This trip is all about simple pleasures. Your last evening, you’ll have one of the best waterfront dining experiences on the islands. away from the toursist swarms. The best foodie experiences you can have on the islands is a plate of freshly-caught and simply grilled fish at one of the waterfront restaurants in El Cotillo (Fuerte), Playa Quemada (Lanzarote), La Caleta (Lanzarote), or Arrieta (Lanzarote). Here at Beyond Biking, we know all the best local hotspots.

If you are more looking for a unique arty setting, then head to Lagomar or Jameos del Agua, two of Casar Manrique’s Volcano houses, which transform into an unusual resto & disco every weekend. Lagomar was actually built for the Hollywood star Omar Sharif back in the 70s. Here one can enjoy drinks in a unique ambience while listening to some electric tunes.

The best local spot for lively nightlife on Lanzarote is ‘El Charco de San Ginés’, a charming old harbour, a wonderful setting for drinks, meals and meeting with friends. El Charco is a lagoon of sea water which literally means ‘the puddle’, found right in the heart of the old town of Arrecife.
