Your own private group. A biking experience isn’t Beyond if you cannot share it with your best friends. We only offer private group holidays, small in size, so that each group is made up of like-minded travellers.
Eight nights in beautiful Arizona lodgings. You will enjoy four nights in small, four-star spa resorts, one night in an Arizona guest ranch, two nights in a modern Mexican-inspired hotel, plus one night back-country camping (with all camping gear included) in the McDowell Mountain Regional Park. Each of these hand-picked locations offers five-star views, and is based on double occupancy.
High-quality local dining every night. A handpicked selection of the best restaurants offering locally-sourced produce, cooked to perfection. From fine cuts of Arizona beef to Navajo-Churro lamb to real Mexican food – you can try it all on this Beyond Biking holiday. A three-course meal will be provided every night between pick-up and drop-off in Scottssdale (seven evenings).
Breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is a full American, lunch is a either served on the trail or you will be offered a packed lunch to take with you for the day.
Full support. Fully qualified and experienced mountain bike guides will be at your service. You’ll be in the safest of hands while developing your skills along the way. Each group will also be joined by an assistant guide/support driver throughout the trip, and all group safety and bike maintenance equipment will be provided.
Transport. All transport throughout the trip (starting at our start and finish point in Scottssdale) is provided for, as is a support vehicle and trailer throughout. Luggage will be ferried by the support car.
Park entrance fees and permits. All recreational permits for group biking, camping & lodging is covered.
Flights. Travel or flight costs and charges for travelling with your bike (if applicable) are additional. Please check with your airline carrier for bike carriage charges on your flight(s). Flights should not be booked until you have received your Beyond Biking booking confirmation. You will need to make your own way to our meeting in Fauntain Hills. We suggest flying into Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, arriving on a Saturday. Take the airport shuttle to Fauntain Hills (45mins). London is the only European city to offer direct flights to Phoenix. All other European cities will require at least one stopover.
Airport transfers. We will meet in Scottsdale for our bike journey. We don’t typically include airport transfers, as there are too many variables (including the number of people bringing their own bikes). However, we can arrange all airport transfers for the group at an additional fee, once you have full flight information.
Bike hire. All rental bikes are high-quality Santa Cruz full-suspension bikes. Each bike comes equipped with a helmet and water bottle. The price is $350 for the entire trip. Prices do not include spare parts like spare tubes, replacement derailleur hangers or others.
Drinks. We do not provide any drinks, alcoholic or otherwise, during the day or with evening meals.
Final evening dinner. So that you have the freedom to choose the way you want to celebrate the end of your Beyond Biking tour, we do not organise a final evening meal. However, we are happy to advise and make a booking for you.
Single room. For an additional cost, single room options may be available, if requested.
Travel Insurance. It is a condition of joining any of our trips that you are insured against medical and personal accident risks (to include repatriation costs, air ambulance and helicopter rescue services). You will need to advise us of your policy details and complete an insurance declaration form. Beyond Biking recommends Allianz Adventure & Survival Assistance (for EU residents), Campbell Irvine (for UK residents), Travelex (for US residents) and IMG Globe Hoppers (worldwide). These companies offer the ultimate in travel protection and emergency travel assistance, and their policies are especially designed for adventure holidays. You will need to arrange your own insurance directly. We strongly recommend that you take out holiday cancellation insurance, as some deposits are non-refundable.
Others. Bar bills, telephone calls, souvenirs, entrance fees to cultural or historical sites, spa treatments, personal clothing and equipment and all tips are not included.
